The Winsford masterplan outlines plans to transform the town centre into a major tourist attraction with tree lined boulevards, improvements to the town centre park and shopping facilities. It also promises to turn Winsford into a thriving market town as well as regenerating existing areas such as the old High Street. At the announcement of the masterplan last year, Clr Mark Stocks said: "This is extremely exciting for Winsford as it is laying the building blocks for the future. "The town centre will look fantastic and will hopefully mean people choose to do their shopping in Winsford rather than travel to places like Chester."
